Chicken HashA simple chicken dish, good served with an accompaniment of toast or cornbread. Ingredients:3/4 tbsp. margarine or vegetable oil Method:Heat the margarine or oil in a large skillet, and blend in the flour. Add to this the chopped onion then slowly pour into the water, stirring to thicken. Season with salt and pepper to taste, then add the chopped chicken. Simmer for about 15-20 minutes until the chocken is heated through. Serve either in a bowl or over toast, cornbread, or waffles. |
